My Role:  Design and Branding

Inspiration: As a design student I remembered picking up a 2-sided magazine simply because it was 2-sided. I forgot what the magazine was about but when i was approached to design a magazine it gave me an excuse to create 2 covers. (The best part of a magazine IMHO)

SIDE A | RAVE

My passion is for music and I have written for such festivals as Shambhala and Basscoast project so the first side of my magazine was a no brainer. I wanted to cover the fashion and culture that is rave music.

SIDE B | COSPLAY

Anime and cosplay has gained huge notoriety in pop culture filling stadiums and Instagram feeds alike. I have covered such events as Anime Revolution and in this humble blogger’s opinion there there is a huge market for a english language cosplay magazine.

PEOPLE POWERED

Engagement is the game in 2018. Rave/Cosplay is people powered via a downloadable app. Download, vote, and enjoy. The next generation in fashion x culture.

Project: New Midnight Society’s Haunted Vancouver 2017

BOOK & EBOOK

My Role:  Design and Storytelling

Goal: My design challenge was how do I create not only a spooky and fun-filled self guided tour but how I add to the experience in a whole new way?

Story: Everyone loves a good ghost story… as a kid growing up in the 90’s my favourite show was about of a group of kids who would tell spooky stories around a campfire. I remembered… before every story the presenter would give an intro than throw sand into the fire that ignites. The ritual added so much to the experience. The fictional band of storytellers inspired my entire project so I named my ghost tour the New Midnight Society in their honour.

I embedded spells and 13 human transmutation circles into the tour book of the Most haunted Locations of Vancouver.

Project: Vancouver Electronic Festival 2018

My Role:  Graphic Design and Branding

Story: I was inspired by by equal parts the Vancouver Folk Festival and the iconic Woodstock.

I wanted to create a festival for peace and to prove it, 100%

benefits world peace and children effected by war all around the world.

Design: I drew a bird holding a bracelet and while arranging it in photoshop I loved how the bracelet looked mid-way (looking like the bracelet is breaking free) so I kept it.
